O2 Office... More Psalms

More ancient Jewish poetry...

Turn from evil and do good; then you will dwell in the land forever

My guilt has overwhelmed me like a burden too heavy to bear

I confess my iniquity; I am troubled by my sin

I will put a muzzle on my mouth

I desire to do your will, O my God; your law is within my heart

Yet I am poor and needy; may the Lord think of me

As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you

Why are you so downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me?

Deep calls to deep

You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions, by anointing you with the oil of joy

The music of the strings makes you glad

Have mercy on me, Oh God, wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart

The Fool says in his heart "There is no God"

But as for me, I trust in you

I will sing of you among the peoples

But you, Oh Lord, laugh at them

God sets the lonely in families

To the arrogant I say, "Boast no more"

I am the Lord your God who brought you out of Egypt

I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of the Lord than dwell in the tents of the wicked

...who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases

I will sing to the Lord all my life

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom

The Lord has chastened me severely, but he has not given me over to death

This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it

I have chosen the way of truth

Your commands make me wiser than my enemies, have more insight than all my teachers and have more understanding than the elders...for I obey your precepts

My zeal wears me out

Teach me to do your will, for you are my God
