Comparison of Meekness and Humility

Humble…

What does that even mean?

In truth I have believed all my life that I thought more clearly, or better, than most people.

That belief manifested in thoughts, attitudes and actions that are not meek...and essentially piss people off.

Humility :

In humilty, I acknowledge my imperfections, am patient from intemperate vanity and I am modest.

Humility is a feature that I present to myself.

In humility my limitations originate from myself.

I know my capacity, yet I make light of it or refuse it.

Humility is the inverse of pride and haughtiness.

Meekness

Meekness alludes to conduct towards others...by controlling my own power to permit space for others. It is equitable and patient under anguish.

Meekness alludes to the nature of being peaceful, honest, gentle and respectful.

Meekness is a feature that I present to you.

In meekness my limitations originate from you.

In meekness, if I am honestly stronger than you, I do not utilize my power to exploit you.

In meekness I know my capacity, however I stay silent and do not gloat.

Meekness is the inverse of self-will.

Lastly, Compassion, beyond meekness, implies that I use my strength to serve you honestly and unselfishly.
